What we collect, and what we don’t

This site collects one thing, and only if you type it in: an email address, so we can tell you when a book is out. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags, and no third-party scripts of any kind.

The quizzes are scored entirely inside your browser. Your answers are never sent to us and never leave your device. Close the tab and they are gone.

The controller for the purposes of the GDPR is Dominik Duscher and Friederike Seiler. You can reach us at hello@allthescienceyouneed.com.

Your email address, the date and time it arrived, and which page the form was on. That is the complete list. We do not store your name, your IP address, your browser, or anything about how you used the site.

• Purpose: to send occasional notes about new books in the series.
• Legal basis: your consent, GDPR Article 6(1)(a). You gave it by submitting the form, and you can withdraw it at any time.
• Retention: until you ask to be removed, or the list is closed.
• Recipients: nobody. We do not sell, rent, share or trade the list.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and the list is held in a Cloudflare D1 database provisioned in Cloudflare's European region. Cloudflare acts as our processor under a data processing agreement. The fonts and every other asset are served from this site itself, so loading a page here does not tell any third party that you visited.

The buy links point to Amazon. Once you follow one you are on Amazon's site and Amazon's own privacy policy applies to whatever happens there. We receive nothing back from Amazon about you.

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to our use of it, or to receive it in a portable form. You can withdraw your consent at any time, which for this site means asking to come off the list.

Email hello@allthescienceyouneed.com and we will act on it. There is no charge and you do not need to give a reason.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority in the country where you live or work.

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. You can also simply email hello@allthescienceyouneed.com and ask, which we will treat as a deletion request for the whole record.

If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not start collecting something new without saying so here first.
